The U-Haul folks recommend a max of 55, but we set the cruise control for 65. With the speed limit on the secondary roads at 70 and I-10 at 80 mph we did not want to pose a safety hazard.
Around Ft Stockton we encountered a typical Western thunderstorm with lots of lightning.
