Arrived in Austin just in time for a most god awful traffic snarl, yet made it to Hillary and Chris's place in time for a great dinner.

Texas this time of the year is in full cotton harvest mode. I have never seen such great cotton bales. They were the size of a freight car and lined up on the side of the road they took the shape of a wall. Amazing!

Resting up today we will strike out for El Paso tomorrow. I am afraid if will be hot. It was the mid-nineties and the are forecasting temps on the century mark for AZ.

The road miles seem to be getting to me. Has it ever happened to you where you turn over the wheel to your co-driver and then drift off just to wake up in a start looking for the steering wheel. Realizing that you were dreaming that you ran off the road makes you look foolish in a big way; however you are also relieved that it was only a dream. Brains can be so weird!
